·       WRC Promoter signs multi-year agreement from 2019 onwards

WRC Promoter has signed a long-term agreement with independent lubricant specialist Wolf to be the next premium partner of the FIA World Rally Championship.

From the start of 2019, the Belgian producer will become the WRC’s Official Lubricant Partner, introducing its Wolf oils for the first time to the world’s most prestigious motorsport series for production-based cars.

Wolf announced the partnership at the 25th anniversary Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt, one of the most important shows in the world for the automotive service industry.

The Antwerp-based company was founded in 1955 and has become a leading name in the industry.

It specialises in tailored, technology-enhanced lubricants, meeting and often exceeding latest industry standards and specifications, which is why they are approved by the world’s leading car manufacturers.

Wolf produces oils and fluids for engines, transmission, brakes and steering. It has a wide product range, including cars, heavy duty vehicles, motorcycles, marine and agricultural machinery.

As an official championship partner, Wolf will enjoy prominent TV-relevant branding stage-side at all championship rounds.

It will activate its partnership with a permanent presence in the WRC service park around the globe, establishing a platform to provide information and assistance to fans and customers in choosing the most suitable lubrication solutions.

WRC Promoter managing director Oliver Ciesla welcomed Wolf to the championship and said: “I’m excited Wolf has joined the WRC’s growing portfolio of premium partners.

“Lubricants are an essential part of motorsport and it’s gratifying to bring a leading independent player onboard, especially one with such innovative, focused and forward-looking strategies in its field.

“Both Wolf and the WRC share the same objective to globally grow their awareness and popularity,” added Ciesla.

Wolf’s global marketing director, Frédéric Decroix, said the company was proud to be associated with the WRC and its millions of global fans.

“The FIA World Rally Championship is a partner that sets the benchmark in high performance rallying, with drivers who take their vehicles to the very limits, testing their engines to the extremes.

“The announcement of this new partnership builds on the brand’s continuous international growth and rings in the next phase of its global development.

“With Wolf’s drive for exceptional engineering and precision in everything we do, we’ll be able to bring our story closer to motorsport fans and driving enthusiasts all over the world,” added Decroix.
