Challenge Europe
  • Endurance Cup entry confirmed with Aston Martin Vantage GT3
  • Two-car line-up for multi-title-winning British GT team
  • Team Principal Andrew Howard first confirmed driver

Beechdean AMR are delighted to announce an expansion into the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS with a pair of Aston Martin Vantage GT3s.

The team from High Wycombe, England, will embark on their first international race programme since 2019 in the five events that make up the Endurance Cup as they seek to add to their long list of motorsport successes.

One of the UK’s most successful GT racing teams of the past decade, Beechdean AMR claimed the British GT Championship’s overall GT3 crown in 2013 and 2015 and added GT4 titles in 2014, ‘15 and ‘19; all with the Aston Martin Vantage.

A European Le Mans Series GTE title was added in 2016 while the team has also taken an LMP1 victory in the same series, podium finishes in the Le Mans Cup and pole position at the legendary 24 Hours of Spa.

Team Principal Andrew Howard, who won both of the team’s British GT titles and the ELMS GTE crown behind the wheel, is the first announced driver for the programme.

Beechdean AMR are this week taking part in the GT World Challenge pre-season Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard, France, with a single Vantage GT3.

Valentin Hasse-Clot - who made two British GT appearances for Beechdean AMR in 2019 - and fellow Frenchman Theo Nouet - who shared the 2020 GT4 European Series’ Silver Cup title with Valentin aboard an Aston Martin - are participating in the Prologue with the team.

The GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup; the centrepiece of which is the 24 Hours of Spa, Belgium, in July, begins at Imola, Italy, on April 1-3.

Further details regarding the programme - including the full driver line-up - will be announced in the coming weeks.

Andrew Howard, Driver/Team Principal, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to announce our return to international motorsport in the GT World Challenge Europe. It’s the first time we’ll have run a pair of GT3 cars internationally and we’re certainly aiming to be competitive from the get-go. We’ve been front-runners in every series we’ve ever raced in and we’re serious about success. When we announce full details of the programme later this month, it will be very clear how serious we are about achieving it.”
