LIVE MALAYSIA FINAL AND A €25,000 FUND FOR NEW SEASON OF ESPORTS WTCR OSCARO ON RACEROOM
Following the success of the inaugural Esports WTCR OSCARO on RaceRoom in 2018, season two is go with a live final in Malaysia and a €25,000 fund on offer as simracers from around the world prepare to compete in this booming motorsport sector. The continuation of a long-standing partnership between WTCR promoter Eurosport Events, RaceRoom and Sector3 Studios, the second season of the online version of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup with OSCARO began at 17h30 CET on 25 July. ESPORTS WTCR OSCARO MULTIPLAYER CALENDAR REFRESHER
After the launch of season two of Esports WTCR OSCARO, here’s a reminder of the Multiplayer Championship calendar. Kicking off at a virtual Hungaroring on 18 August, the Esports WTCR OSCARO Multiplayer Championship features races at a further six venues used in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO. WTCR SETS SAIL FOR CHINA
The WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO is on route to China with a containership carrying cars, spares and equipment making its way from Antwerp in Belgium to Shanghai where it’s due to dock on 27 August. With the full support of the WTCR’s Official Logistics Partner DHL, the vessel is carrying 31 40’ high cube containers. Click for full story.
REVEALED: PROVISIONAL WTCR RACE OF CHINA TIMETABLE
The provisional timetable for WTCR Race of China has been published. Taking place at the Ningbo International Speedpark from 13-15 September, Race 1 is scheduled for 15h40 local time on Saturday 14 September with Race 2 and Race 3 following on Sunday 15 September at 14h30 and 15h50 respectively. WTCR MOVE HAS MADE ME STRONGER, SAYS SHEDDEN
Gordon Shedden has no regrets about leaving his comfort zone behind to step up to the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO, even though he has yet to emulate the success he achieved in 2018. WHERE AND WHEN? THE WTCR SEASON-DECIDING RACES
The 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO will be decided over four action-packed weekends between September and December. Up first from 13-15 September is WTCR Race of China in Ningbo. That will be followed by WTCR Race of Japan at Suzuka from 25-27 October with WTCR Race of Macau taking place from 14-17 November.
