Here’s a recap of some of the latest developments in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup.

FROM WTCR SHOWDOWN TO SHAKEDOWN FOR CYAN
Cyan Racing is up and running in its bid to land more WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup success in 2020. After claiming the WTCR Teams’ title under the Cyan Racing Lynk & Co banner at the WTCR Race of Malaysia season super-finale last month, the Swedish squad was back on track or rather a rain-swept airfield last week. ANYTHING WTCR RACER GIROLAMI CAN DO, WTCR TEAM BOSS MÜNNICH CAN ALSO DO
WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup team boss René Münnich will get back behind the wheel when he contests the TCR Asia-Pacific Cup event held during the Australian Formula One Grand Prix weekend from 13-15 March. Swapping the pitwalll for a Wall Racing Honda Civic Type R TCR, the 42-year-old’s outing in Melbourne marks his first race appearance since the ADAC TCR Germany season closer at the Sachsenring last September. WTCR GREATS MICHELISZ, TARQUINI ON SHOW IN ITALY
Gabriele Tarquini and Norbert Michelisz, winners of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup in 2018 and 2019 respectively, appeared at the Automotoretrò e Automotoracing event in Italy last weekend.  As well as helping to promote BRC Gas Equipment – a sister company to the Hyundai-powered BRC Racing Team they drove for during the last two seasons, Tarquini and Michelisz signed autographs and celebrated Michelisz’s WTCR title triumph. “AMAZING” PANIS IS A CHAMPION 48 DAYS AFTER FIRST WTCR PODIUM
Forty-eight days after he claimed his first podium in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup at the Sepang super-finale in Malaysia, Aurélien Panis became the first driver to win the Trophée Andros Elite Pro title since the adoption of electric-only rules. The Frenchman beat Jean-Baptiste Dubourg and fellow WTCR driver Yann Ehrlacher to the crown after he headed rallying legend Sébastien Loeb at the Super Besse season closer on Saturday. WTCR CARS SET FOR MORE OF THE SAME AT THE FIA MOTORSPORT GAMES
Cars eligible for the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup are once again set for action at the FIA Motorsport Games, the second edition of which has been provisionally scheduled for 23-25 October at Circuit Paul Ricard in France. The multi-discipline contest ran for the first time at Vallelunga in Italy last November with Tom Coronel flying the WTCR flag in the Touring Car Cup event for TCR cars as part of Team Netherlands.
