The traditional visit
to Austria by TCR Germany resulted in two eventful races at the Red

Niels Langeveld in a Racing One Audi RS3 LMS and Harald Proczyk in a
HP Racing International Opel Astra claimed one win apiece, while
Antti Buri and Benjamin Leuchter finished second and third
respectively in both races.
In Race 1 Langeveld took advantage of his pole position to claim an
authoritative lights-to-flag victory, the first for him in the

Langeveld started well, followed by Buri, Proczyk and Mike Halder.
The latter tried to overtake Proczyk at Turn 1, but missed the
braking point, hit the back of Buri’s car and dropped to fifth behind
Leuchter. After a safety car period, Langeveld pulled away from Buri,
while Proczyk tried to defend third place from Leuchter and Halder,
but he ran a little wide at Turn 1 on lap 9, giving Leuchter and
Halder the opportunity to overtake him.
Proczyk started Race 2 from sixth on the grid, but quickly moved up
into fourth, then benefited from the battle between pole-sitter
Sandro Kaibach, Luca Engstler and Leuchter to take the lead for good.
Behind him, Buri worked his way from fifth position to third and, on
the penultimate lap, overtook Leuchter for second place.
Proczyk now has 185 points and leads Langeveld by 22 points, with
Luca Engstler third, a further 4 points adrift.
TCR Germany next visits the Nürburgring in early August.
