Salih Yoluc seeks strong finish to Asian Le Mans Series LMP2 programme

It’s been quite a season for Salih Yoluc in the Asian Le Mans Series aboard the #23 United Autosport Ligier. The Turkish driver has adapted well to his first season in LMP2 machinery, securing an outright podium on his debut in Shanghai and following that up with top six finishes at both Fuji and Buriram.

With just six points separating Salih from third position in the standings, he is now looking forward to the fourth and final round of the Championship which takes place next weekend at Sepang Circuit.

“I’ve enjoyed the experience of competing in the LMP2 car and hopefully in Malaysia we can have a trouble-free run and get back on the podium to end the Championship on a positive note,” said Salih. “For me it is the outright result in the LMP2 and it’s all very close points-wise, so no mistakes and we need to maximise our package and score big points with the aim of securing P3 in the championship.”

Sepang marks the start of a busy period for Salih as he competes in Malaysia and then heads off to test and then on to the 1000 Miles of Sebring for the sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Salih - who teams up with Guy Cosmo and Patrick Byrne once again – will take part in the Friday free practice sessions to acclimatise himself with the circuit and then the 4H Sepang gets underway Sunday at 12.00 local time.
