All set for the challenge of Sebring: Salih Yoluc resumes WEC Super Season

Famous the world around, Sebring International Speedway hosts the sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season and for Salih Yoluc it is another new challenge in a season where the Turkish driver has already met - and passed - many with flying colours.

Three runner-up positions make it a successful championship already, but for Salih, the aim is to step on the very top step of the podium in Florida so that come the final round of the 2019-20 season, he is in contention for the title honours at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Currently third in what is a very tight battle in the Pro-Am standings, Salih is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the #90 Aston Martin Vantage GTE.

“We head to Sebring really pushing for our first win and to make up a little for the issues that denied us a strong result in China,” he said. “We’re sure that the handling issues have been resolved, and we have a two-day test ahead of the event to ensure that the GTE is well balanced for what will be a demanding race.

“The last WEC race feels a long time ago; I’ve race in the Asian Le Mans Series between the rounds and have loved driving the LMP2 car. It will be good to be back in the Aston Martin GTE though, and with my strong teammates Jonny and Charlie, we expect to be pushing for the win.”

The 1000-miles of Sebring takes place Friday afternoon from 16:00 local time and concludes at midnight.
