Eurasia Motorsport to field three cars in second season of China Endurance Series

With programmes in Asian Formula Renault, F3 Asian Championship, Blancpain GT Series Asia, Asian Le Mans Series and an entry into the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Eurasia Motorsport are pleased to confirm that it will field three entries in the China Endurance Series which gets underway 27 – 29 April at Shanghai International Circuit, China.
The five-round championship, formerly known as FRD LMP3, is now in its second season and Eurasia Motorsport are pleased to continue its association with the burgeoning series.

Martin Cao and Garnet Patterson have already confirmed their return to the series in the #3 Ligier JSP3, the former now graded as a silver for the 2018 campaign.

Rainey He and Terence Tse will compete in the #33 entry. The former comes from a background in China Super Production Car Class where he was runner-up in 2014. More recently he competed in the FRD LMP3 championship in 2017 where he finished seventh in the standings and secured a podium. Tse meanwhile has competed in Clio Cup and the TCR Asia Series before moving to the Blancpain GT Series Asia in 2017.

The team are very familiar with Aidan Read who returns to the team. The young Australian driver finished second in the Formula Masters Championship with Eurasia and has also competed in prototype machinery with the team. He also races with in the Blancpain GT Series Asia but will team up with Nobuya Yamanaka in the #36 entry.

Yamanaka is new to the series and at 58 years of age the Japanese driver is a late-comer to racing but has already shown a great turn of speed in testing at Sepang, Malaysia last month.

“We enjoyed the first season in this championship and now with some tweaks to the rules, we are delighted to return and field three cars in what we believe will be a close and competitive field,” said team principal Mark Goddard.

“Martin and Garnet return and it’s a strong pairing and they are capable of winning the championship. Rainey will be pushing hard and we know Aidan can always get the job done in the car. His new teammate Nobuya is somewhat unknown, but we are sure he will continue his steep learning curve and secure plenty of good results.”
