A GRAND FINAL PERFECTLY MASTERED BY SODIKART

The common values shared by Sodikart and Rotax for more than 30 years were once again confirmed at the 21st edition of the Grand Final organised in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This world event brought together 378 drivers representing 62 nations and was able to rely on a strong partnership with the world's leading kart manufacturer, which successfully supplied its Sodi Sigma chassis to the drivers in the Junior Max, Senior Max and E20 categories.

After a successful season, Sodikart fulfilled its mission with rigour and professionalism in Bahrain. More than 160 chassis were delivered and perfectly met the drivers' expectations. They contributed to an exciting and thrilling event, with races of great intensity. The French manufacturer had complete control over the logistical, technical and human aspects of the event. The Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn, who recently joined the official Sodi team, completed an experienced staff used to offering a high quality service.

"This Rotax Grand Final is totally in the spirit of Sodikart", confirmed Bertrand Pignolet, General Manager of Sodikart. "It is truly the Olympic Games of karting, where the drivers must above all make the difference thanks to their talent. The fact that you can't buy your ticket and have to qualify contributes to the beauty of the event. Every driver has the same chance to win, we are not talking about an arms race here. An example of this is the limitation to two sets of tyres for the week, one for Free Practice and one for the races."

"As for the Rotax engine, it has no equivalent in the world in terms of its performance, reliability, sporting fairness, controlled cost and ease of use", continued Bertrand Pignolet. "It is so popular for all these reasons. This Grand Final represents an important promotional opportunity for karting in general, because it reaches the whole world. Like Rotax, Sodikart is present on every continent and we are completely in agreement on this point. This 21st edition was a great success and we have a particularly positive assessment. We must congratulate all those who took part in this remarkable event. I would also like to pay tribute to the competence and responsiveness of the entire Sodi team, which once again demonstrated the professionalism of our company. We took up the challenge of supplying three categories, including the new E20 with its electric power, while at the same time providing technical support that was appreciated by the competitors."

On the track, Frenchman Oscar Pellemele resisted the pressure of Sweden's Hannes Morin in the early stages of the race, before cruising to a deserved victory in E20. Polish driver David Aulejtner completed the podium. In Junior Max, Latvia's Tomass Stolcermanis dominated from Qualifying to the Final, which he won ahead of strong drivers like Dutchman Jayden Thien and Belgian Kai Rillaerts. In the Senior Max class, the UK achieved a hat-trick of wins with Mark Kimber, Kai Hunter and Sean Butcher. Sodikart also congratulates Tereza Babickova from the Czech Republic for her outstanding performance and Team France for their success in the Nations Cup.
