With the number of 2018 Chili Bowl entries expected to top 250, the 2017 champion Christopher Bell again faces the daunting task of defeating the likes of 5-time Chili Bowl champion Sammy Swindell, Rico Abreau, Kyle Larson, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Jerry Coons Jr., Cory Kruseman and Kasey Kahne.

The telecast will feature a special "goodbye" to broadcast legend Dave Despain. The MAVT/LORTV telecast will be anchored by Bob Dillner with Ken Stout and Ron Klepper handling commentary and Dave Argabright working the pits. The 2018 Chili Bowl telecast on Saturday, January 13 will be preceded by a "Sprint Car Marathon" starting at 11:30am ET.
