MAVTV the Motorsports Network will have its production crew and cameras
in Elko, Minnesota, about 30 minutes south of Minneapolis, for another
exciting live event in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menard’s this
weekend. The Sioux Chief Power PEX 250 will be contested on the
3/8-mile Elko Speedway on Saturday, July 14 at 10:00pm ET, with re-air
at 1:00am on Sunday morning.
This will be the 13th of 20 events on the ARCA schedule for the
Midwest stock car series, and the emphasis for this one should be on
slowing down Sheldon Creed.
Creed, a 20-year-old from Alpine, California, is threatening to
turn the championship points race into a runaway after winning three of
the past five races. Creed got his first career win at Michigan
International Speedway June 8, won at Gateway Motorsports Park in
Madison, Illinois, June 22, and was back in victory circle after the
most recent event July 7, at Iowa Speedway.
Creed also has 11 top 5 finishes in his 12 starts, and as a result
is 200-points ahead of teammate Zane Smith of Huntington Beach,
California, who was the early series leader after winning three of the
first five races.
The MAVTV production crew will stay in the Midwest for another ARCA race from Marne, Michigan, July 21.
