Group’s independent business unit Ferratum granted official naming rights to World RX of Sweden, rallycross’ ‘Magic Weekend’

Pace-setting international fintech provider Multitude SE has renewed its relationship with the FIA World Rallycross Championship for 2024, as its entrepreneurial independent business unit Ferratum becomes the official title partner to World RX of Sweden at Höljes.

A trailblazer in digital financial services, stock market-listed Multitude’s association with the world’s most exciting motorsport series stretches back several years, with Ferratum previously serving as title partner to World RX of Rīga-Latvia in 2022.

Founded in 2005, Ferratum specialises in flexible online consumer loans and mobile banking services, fulfilling its customers’ small, short-term and unplanned financial needs. Much like motorsport, banking as an industry is data-driven, fast-paced and resolutely future-focussed – making Ferratum’s partnership with World RX of Sweden a flawless fit.

Located deep in the Värmland forest, Höljes Motorstadion is one of the world’s most iconic rallycross tracks. Operational since 1976, it joined the FIA European Rallycross Championship calendar in 1991, becoming a permanent round on the schedule eight years later. It has been a popular World Championship fixture ever since the series’ inception in 2014.

Known as the ‘Magic Weekend’, the event regularly attracts tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans. The forthcoming edition on 6-7 July will raise the curtain on the 2024 World RX campaign, marking the beginning of the eagerly-anticipated ‘Battle of Technologies’ – pitting cutting-edge electric RX1e cars directly against their sustainably-fuelled combustion-engined counterparts for the very first time.

Kristjan Kajakas, CEO, Ferratum, said:

“Just as driving in rallycross demands speed and precision, our online banking services ensure a rapid and efficient experience to seamlessly meet our customers’ needs – making our partnership with World RX a natural fit, as both embody top performance under the pressure of intense competition.”

Arne Dirks, Managing Director, Rallycross Promoter GmbH, said:

“The Multitude Group has had a close association with World RX for a number of years, partnering both the championship as a whole since last season as well as individual events. We are pleased to extend that relationship, which is testament to the value that both sides derive from it, and we look forward to continuing to work together in new, exciting and ever-more innovative ways.”

Morgan Östlund, General Manager, World RX of Sweden, said:

“We are delighted to be joining forces with Ferratum for this year’s World RX of Sweden. We are immensely proud of Höljes’ heritage as a rallycross venue, and of the enduring popularity of the ‘Magic Weekend’. A huge amount of hard work is going on behind-the-scenes in preparation for July, when we look forward to welcoming the world’s fastest and most fearless drivers once more and to putting on an outstanding event for fans with the support of our pioneering new title partner.”
