NSX GT3 Evo 22 scores Danish double

The NSX GT3 Evo 22 claimed a magnificent double win on its debut in the Danish Special Saloon Car Championship at Padborg Park last weekend.

Lars Pedersen and the Drivemade Racing team produced the superb set of results to leave the opening round of the series comfortably at the head of the points table.

Pedersen, who is also racing an NSX GT3 Evo 22 in the Le Mans Cup with GMB Motorsport this year, qualified on pole position at the tight and twisty circuit in a field that featured a range of modern GT machinery.

He led most of Saturday’s opening race before being passed by his chief rival late on, only to be denied the chance to fight back due to the scrambling of the safety car - which remained out for most of the remainder.

He made amends on Sunday morning, hitting the front when the previous day’s winner spun on the opening lap, and then dominated the finale to win by nearly a minute.

The car was competing as part of the NSX GT3 Customer Racing Programme; a global collaborative project with JAS Motorsport responsible for assembly of all cars.

Honda Performance Development (HPD) and M-TEC handle sales and technical support in North America and Japan respectively, with JAS responsible for these areas across the rest of the world.
