Nielsen Racing: Building for the Future

Now entering its second decade, Nielsen Racing embarks on an exciting new chapter, beginning with the 2024-25 Asian Le Mans Series. With a rich history of worldwide success in LMP3 and LMP2 ProAm, this new era marks a significant investment in our future, bringing fresh talent and bolstering our team's ambitions for long-term growth.

Our expansion to a two-car LMP2 team at the start of 2024 has given us the chance to evaluate what’s required to take the next step. By closely examining our own standards and benchmarking against top-performing competitors, we’ve pinpointed key areas for growth. With strategic investment in world-class technical expertise, we are committed to closing those gaps and driving the team forward.

Strengthening the Core Team

To spearhead this new era, we are thrilled to announce the appointment of Gary Davies on the newly created Technical Director role, a key move to strengthen the team’s competitive edge. The experience and expertise that Gary brings will be instrumental in driving our success forward.

"We have created a new job role for technical director, which we have never had before, but it should improve the way we work and help us maximise our level of performance every time we go racing. Gary, who joined us this week, will start from a clean state. He shares our vision. He's done this before, he's grown and restructured teams, improved them, and evaluated talent."

A Bright Future with New Investment

Securing our future has been a critical focus for Nielsen Racing, and we are proud to confirm new investment in the team, which will ensure our continued growth and stability. This backing will enable us to continue to attract world-class drivers and partners who share our ambition for race victories and championships. It also allows us to continue laying deeper roots in the LMP2 category, reinforcing our long-term commitment to ACO competitions.

We have remained loyal to the ACO's structure, competing in four of their championships since 2017. It’s encouraging to see the ACO and LMEM acknowledge teams like ours by incorporating loyalty into their future plans. This stability, coupled with our strategic investments, positions us for rapid progress in LMP2 competition.

A Competitive Vision for the Future

As we look ahead, Nielsen Racing is committed to becoming a formidable force in the world of endurance racing. The competitive market for attracting top driving talent remains fierce, but with the resources and infrastructure we are building, we are confident in providing opportunities for current and new drivers to fulfil their potential.

The upcoming Asian Le Mans Series is just the beginning of this exciting new era for Nielsen Racing. With fresh talent, new investment, and a clear strategy, our future has never looked brighter.
