After ten editions, including the last three in Italy, the 2022 SWS International Finals will return to Paris and the prestigious site of the RKC from 6th to 8th July with two major innovations, a Sprint Cup for Ladies and a magical venue for the closing ceremony.
For the SWS International Finals, returning to Paris means returning to the world's leading leisure karting venue, the RKC. Affected by a major fire in June 2019, its infrastructure has now been restored to its original level of quality to host the SWS flagship event in the best possible conditions.
Launched in 2009 by the Sodikart Group, the world's leading karting company, the SWS concept has continued to develop in more than 65 countries on all continents. The exceptional quality of Sodi karts, always at the cutting edge of innovation, as well as the exemplary organisation common to all SWS-labelled circuits, have accompanied the rise of this genuine karting phenomenon. The largest international leisure karting ranking now brings together over 80,000 drivers and 580 partner tracks. The best drivers in each category qualify for the SWS International Finals.
320 drivers battle for the top
Qualified from nearly 40 countries throughout the SWS 2021 season, the 320 best SWS drivers in the world will experience three days of intense racing to represent their country and their SWS affiliate track to the best of their ability in a competition marked by driving skill and fair play. The karts for this Final will be perfectly calibrated and at the disposal of the competitors. The 80 senior drivers in the Sprint will take the wheel of the prestigious Sodi Sport karts with two-stroke Rotax engines. 40 young drivers will be divided according to their weight into Junior and Junior Kids with 200 cc Sodi LR5s. Finally, 45 teams will take part in the Endurance Cup on the innovative 390 cc Sodi RT10s in a 12-hour semi-night race.
New for 2022: the Sprint Cup Ladies
For the first time, 20 Ladies will compete against each other in Sodi Sport ROTAX J125 karts.
As the event progresses, the numerous race winners will receive a trophy, while the winners of each category will be duly rewarded at the end of the competition with a prize fund worthy of the event.
Final celebration at the Lido
The closing ceremony will take place on the Champs-Elysées in one of the world's most famous cabarets, the Lido, which has been booked exclusively for the occasion. The programme will include prize-giving ceremonies and an unforgettable show, which will raise the unique atmosphere of the SWS International Finals a few notches.
