The 2023 season is already well underway for Bogdan and David Cosma-Cristofor, the two young Romanian hopefuls who have shone in karting for several seasons at international level. Emerging in their home country with numerous successes to their credit, they have not hesitated to cross the borders to compete against the best drivers in the world, while continuing to collect trophies. After promising collective tests and first top 10 results at the Winter Cup on 22nd January, the WSK Champions Cup organised a week later in Lonato, Italy, allowed Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor to climb on the third step of the podium in the 60 Mini International class. David continued to progress in the difficult OK-Junior category.
The South Garda Karting circuit of Lonato, located in the north of Italy between Brescia and Verona, benefited from pleasant weather for this latest edition of the WSK Champions Cup. In Mini 60, a category with 72 registered drivers, the meeting started perfectly for Bogdan Cosma-Cristofor, who won his first race after an 11-place climb! "I knew that my 27th time in Timed Practice did not reflect my true level of performance and I wanted to show straight away that I could be counted on for the best places during the event," Bogdan stressed. The young Romanian continued to improve in the following heats, winning once again, before confirming his competitiveness in his Prefinal at the wheel of his KR-IAME kart.
Determination pays off
