Podium for Jacque Villeneuve Academy Motosport / Alex Caffi Motosport 

Incredible race for 1997 F1 champion with the italian team in the difficult circuit of Grobnik.

. Jacques Villeneuve was protagonist from the very beginning of an intense duel with driver Alon Day #88 defending his fifth position after the start, being able at the same time to attack to reach the group of cars just ahead of him. After the exit of the safety car at lap 13, the Canadian driver immediately reached fourth position that was able to defended until the very end of the race. Ten seconds of penalty given to Giammarco Ercoli, twisted the results and instantly gave the third step of the podium in the hands of Jacques Villeveuve.

A great moment of fair play was shown from Federico Monti car #2 when he founf himself immediately behind the safety car, as soon as he could he waved and slowed down to make sure all drivers could overtake him, avoiding to be in the way of the numerous duels and battles for podium positions.
